Google Art Project upgrades

A further 151 galleries and museums have been added to the Google Art Project across the world. The project enables people to access artworks digitally or via the 360-degree Google Street View technology.  The head of the project, Amit Snood, said:

The Art Project is going global, thanks to our new partners from around the world. It’s no longer just about the Indian student wanting to visit Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. It is also about the American student wanting to visit the National Gallery of Modern Art in Delhi.

Here’s a behind the scenes video of the project being installed in the White House.

A useful ‘how to use the site’ video is available. You can also follow the project on Twitter @googleart.
